Bill Shevlin received his BBA degree in Accounting from Pace University in New York and he earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification 1992 from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Prior to becoming an independent financial planning practitioner, Bill enjoyed a 25-year career in domestic and international banking, including 12 years in the financial control division at Chemical Bank of New York (now JP Morgan Chase) and thirteen years with Credit Suisse, one of the oldest and largest Swiss banks. As a Member of Senior Management in Credit Suisse’s private banking group, Bill developed, instituted and then managed an asset allocation program for private clients and gained a broad base of investment experience working with offshore funds, precious metals, foreign exchange and domestic and foreign trusts.

Bill now specializes in retirement planning and portfolio management utilizing modern portfolio theory. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, the Financial Planning Association and The National Financial Aid Practitioners Alliance.

Bill has also previously been affiliated with Access Financial Planning, Inc. Separately, he has been a Registered Representative with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. since 1995. Bill is a senior Financial Advisor with New Century Financial Group and has managed New Century’s MPT-based asset allocation Program since its inception in 1995.
